howFar January 2018 Update

howFar Team in Haiti

Diane Moffi, howFar's Country Director for Haiti, is currently in Haiti with a team off four. The team has a full agenda.

1. Get an update and meet some of the recipients of our micro-loan program, pray with them and offer encouragement.
2. Have a women’s ministry day for women in Cite Soleil, which will include: a Gospel message, training on birth control, parenting advice and an introduction to the micro-loan program (for those who do not participate already) and a hot meal.  We are anticipating 100 women.
3. Purchase school supplies locally to distribute to a school in Canaan that has 80 students.  We will visit the school and distribute the supplies in person.
4. Visit the school in Cite Soleil that we just purchased the generator for and see the progress of their computer class and offer any training we can on computer usage.
5. Visit at least 2 orphanages and provide a Bible story, recreation time and food supplies.
